On 31 March 2025, the Department for Education published the annual Academies Accounts Direction 2024 to 2025, which applies for accounting periods ending 31 August 2025. This short course looks at the detail.
We start with an overview of the legal and regulatory framework for academy trusts, before outlining key changes within the 2024/25 Accounts Direction and exploring some common issues noted in academies' financial statements.
