Sam is Head of Accounting for EMEA and APAC at InterWorks, a global specialist data consulting practice and software reseller. The practice focuses on the full business analytics stack including databases, data engineering and data visualisation.
Sam has been using modern data technologies for the past decade to operate a lean and agile accounting function, utilising automation, APIs and self-serve data analytics software.
Sam was a founding member and Chair of ACCA's Global Technology forum, steering ACCA's approach to updating members around key technology developments and trends.
Sam has spoken at numerous industry events and seminars including the AAT annual conference, ACCA’s annual Chair conference and PQ Magazine.
Sam has a passion for technology and has extensive experience in Xero cloud accounting software, Salesforce CRM and Tableau data analytics platform. He uses modern data analytics software e.g. Tableau to transform accounting reporting in a modern, shareable and actionable format whilst reducing time taken to prepare reports and streamlining content to minimise noise.
Sam has been involved in all areas of accounting including, annual accounts, MI reporting, transfers pricing, M&A, fundraising, tax and audit.
